- How credible is the AquaSafe
Pool Safety Net?
- The AquaSafe net
has been used in Florida for over five years, with no reported drownings. Since
1972 the pool safety net has been used worldwide, in countries such as South Africa
and Australia, with no reported drownings.
- What would happen if a child fell onto the AquaSafe Pool Safety Net?
- The net would support the child and prevent him or her from submerging in the pool water.
This is precisely what the net is designed for: saving the child's life.
- What would happen if a child crawls across the net?
- The AquaSafe Pool Safety
Net is specifically designed with 4 inch meshes so that if a young infant fell onto
it, the baby's head would not penetrate the net. This spacing also makes it very
difficult for any child to maneuver on the net. Most children ignore the pool when
the net is on as this sends the message that the pool is off limits or closed.
- Can a child crawl under the AquaSafe
Pool Safety Net?
- No, the net is fitted with firm tension to prevent this.
- How is the net secured to the pool?
- The net, which is custom cut at installation to fit the shape of your pool, attaches onto
small hard nylon/fiberglass plates that are placed at 3-foot intervals around the
perimeter of the pool. The net is secured by simply sliding the net-hooks into
key-hole slots on the plates. Then the net is pulled tight, using our central
tensioning system.
- What is a central tensioning system?
- It is a sequence of pulleys installed into the center of the net in a circular shape.
One line connects all the pulleys allowing you to tighten or relax the net by pulling
or releasing that line. This creative inventtion is designed to make the removal and
replacement of the net relatively effortless.
- How much weight can the AquaSafe
Pool Safety Net hold?
- Each polyethylene strand has a breaking strain of 300 lbs. per strand; the net is able to
withstand the weight of several adults.
- How long does it take to remove and replace the AquaSafe Pool Safety Net?
- About 3 to 4 minutes to remove and 4 to 5 minutes to secure.
- What if I have a kreepy-krawly or similar pool cleaner?
- It does not affect them at all as the net sits approximately 6 inches above the water level.
In fact, it will not even bother a floating chlorinator.
- Can I treat my pool with chemicals with the net in place?
- Yes, simply apply them directly through the Aqua
Safe Pool Safety Net. The net itself, in the manufacturing process, is treated to
withstand chemicals and UV rays.
- Is there a warranty and how long can we expect the net to last?
- AquaSafe Pool Safety Nets carry
a three year end to end warranty. Useful life of the net is dependent on its care, but there
are families in South Africa that have used one net for over 10 years.
- How does the AquaSafe Pool
Safety Net compare to other safety devices?
- The pool safety net is the ultimate final barrier that will prevent children from entering the
pool. Safety fencing and automatic door locks protect the pool area but not the pool itself.
A pool alarm only operates after a child has gone into the water. And vinyl pool safety
covers are not as versatile, aesthetically pleasing or cost effective as a pool safety net.
The AquaSafe Pool Safety Net
is the superior choice for pool safety.
